Prior to Update 29.0 () and after the end of Nightwave Series 2 players needed to craft the Orokin Derelict Emissary Assassination key to access the boss fight.This probably refers to the fact that Zealoid is a new kind of being with a resemblance to Zealot.Zealoid seems to be a combination of the term zealot and -oid, a suffix meaning "resembling" or "having the likeness".Bring large AoE explosive weapons such as the Zarr, Kuva Bramma or Angstrum to quickly dispatch Infested mobs from afar during the Prelate's self-healing phase.Taking allies is still recommended to hasten the fight. She can also complete the fight solo in The Steel Path mode, as she can raise Dread Mirror to shield herself from the Prelate's otherwise powerful attacks.Garuda infused with Gloom trivializes this fight, as not only can she keep sustaining the healing aura with Bloodletting and heal herself, the invulnerable Infested mobs are also slowed by the aura to give her breathing space to focus on the Bastions and the Prelate himself (which are both also slowed down).When the Zealoid Prelate takes enough damage and becomes invulnerable, it is recommended to drop the lamp and leave its light radius to avoid getting blinded and knocked down.
The last part of his Health needs to dealt with normally. In phase 2 when the Prelate is in the light, it can be used again to skip damaging it.
The Pathocyst part that it drops appears as a ? until the player completes the mission. This cycle repeats until the Prelate is killed. After linking for a short amount of time, it will consume them and heal itself, but every enemy killed within this window will slightly damage the Prelate.

When the Prelate has sustained enough damage (around 1/5th of its full health bar), it will force the lamp to break, blinding and knocking down any Tenno close to it, and link to surrounding Infested, rendering them vulnerable and marking them with a red extermination waypoint. Should the radius become too low for a certain period of time, the lamp will break and another Bastion will be spawned. The radius of lamplight diminishes with time but can be increased again by killing Infested within it.
The lamp may be picked up, making the effect mobile at the cost of primary weapon use. Once the Bastion is killed, they will drop a lamp containing Arlo's Light marked by a blue waypoint, which strips said invulnerability within its radius. The Tenno must reduce the Prelate's health by half to trigger the main phase.Īfter the Prelate's health is reduced to half, the Prelate teleports to the center of the room and drains the health of nearby infested where the player has to kill the infested the Prelate is draining health from.Īfter catching up to the Prelate, a red extermination waypoint will point to a nearby Zealoid Bastion, which are the only units not invulnerable. In the introductory phase, there are no special mechanics. An explosive Maggot acts as a delayed-detonation grenade. Further, it may use a fire pulse akin to a Heat-based Virulence. A leaping ground slam allows it to quickly close the distance, while a long-range teleport lets it disengage just as quickly. These could be obtained by completing three Infested Outbreak missions on a single planet where an outbreak was present. During Nightwave: Series 2 – The Emissary, players required one Zealot Derelict Code in order to access the assassination node.
